UPDATE: Police have described this story as “fabricated.” The two boys were thought to be playing with chemicals which then gave them serious injuries. No crime has taken place.
An acid attack in Aberdeen has left two boys with “significant injuries” after chemicals were thrown in their faces.
The attack, in the city’s Northfield area, happened on Wednesday night around 8 pm.
Police Scotland said the suspects are two youths wearing dark clothes and possibly gloves.
One of the victims’ sister posted a picture of him on Facebook, showing the extent of his injuries.
“My gorgeous little brothers face! Someone threw some sort of acid/chemical at him and his friends faces!! My poor boy is devastated!”
