Scotland have announced the team that will face Ireland in the opening game of the Six Nations this Saturday.
Scotland have lined up hoping to win their first opening Six Nations match since 2006.
Josh Strauss starts at number eight, with Ryan Wilson in the number six role and Hamish Watson as number seven.
Simon Berghan is among the players in the squad, earning his first cap for the international team.
Scotland head coach Vern Cotter said: “We’ve been growing our depth and our versatility within that, so we have a number of different options that allow us to continually attack the opposition, which is our main focus.
“Facing Ireland first up doesn’t get much harder.”
Stormers centre Huw Jones comes into the starting lineup, joining Alex Dunbar.
Glasgow Warriors hooker Fraser Brown also starts, which means Edinburgh’s Ross Ford will start on the bench.
After Ireland, Scotland will face France, Wales and England before a final matchup against Italy on the 18th of March.
